Class description

Beginner Ballet

Longer barre work, introduction to adagio, small jumps, emphasis on stretch and core work, posture and placement, counting music. 

Ballet Level 1

A minimum of one class per week is required (two classes strongly encouraged). Barre work, adagio, petit and grand allegro and pirouettes are introduced with attention to placement and stability. Pre-pointe at the end of class on Monday. Age 7 to 14.

Ballet Level 2/3

A minimum of two classes per week are required (three classes strongly encouraged). Additional focus is placed on balance and stability as the student continues to add to the ballet vocabulary. Close attention is also given to musicality. Pre-Pointe work is included at the end of each class. A minimum of two years of previous training required. Age 10 to 15.

Ballet Level 3/4

A minimum of two classes per week are required (three classes strongly encouraged). Building upon learned vocabulary, the student now begins to work with more complexity, beats, multiple pirouettes and adagio. Close attention is paid to placement and stability. Pointe work is included at the end of each class. A minimum of three years of previous training required. Age 11 to 16.

Ballet Level 5/6 *

A minimum of three technique classes per week and a pointe class are required to dance at this level. Classes are designed to further develop petite allegro, classical epaulement, fluidity, musicality, and strength in adagio and virtuosic movement. A minimum of four years of previous training required. Age 13 to 18.

Ballet Level 7 *

Pre-professional training. 4 technique classes (3 at Danse Etoile) and 2 pointe classes required plus modern/jazz classes. 5 to 8 performances a season. Preparation to auditions, competitions. video.

                              

  Ballet 2/3

 

 

 Registration fee $20

 Monthly paiement due first class of month

 $10 fee for late paiement

 Drop-in class $20 ($10 professional rate)

$15 with punch card of 5 to use withing 3 months (adult only)

 Privates $60 an hour ($50 for company)

 Monthly or semester paiement

Class schedule subject to change depending enrollment 

Please wear proper ballet attire: dark color ballet leotard, pink tights, ballet shoes. Boulderbodywear has DEB requirements. 

Hair neatly attached in bun or for short hair wear a handband. Excessive tardiness, bad behavior and language not tolerated. Respect and tolerance is our number one rule.
